MistriApp began with a problem I faced myself. In my village, whenever something needed building or fixing — a leaking pipe, faulty wiring, a broken door, or a new shed for our cows and buffaloes — finding the right mistri was the hardest part. The workers nearby were always busy somewhere else, and we simply didn't know about the ones further away.

Then one day I met a mistri from a distant village, and it opened my eyes. He had the skill but not the work — and when work did come, it rarely came at a fair rate. That's when I realised the problem is the same on both sides: customers can't find mistris, and mistris can't find customers.

I'm a software engineer by profession. So I asked myself: why not use my own skills to build something for my area that brings every mistri and every customer together — so no one else has to struggle the way I did, and skilled workers no longer have to wander for work but get it from home, at a fair price. That's how MistriApp was born.

Even today, thousands of workers in our cities stand at the labour chowk every morning, waiting for their turn. MistriApp brings that labour chowk to your phone — where customers can find trusted workers, talk and agree on a price before hiring, and book with confidence; and where every mistri gets the full value of their hard work and a fair chance to grow.
